Daily mediation is part of my lifestyle. It was on my ‘most desired’ list for when I was creating the life I love to live manifestation. Depending on my schedule I usually practice my longest & deepest meditation, minimum half an hour, in the mornings. If I’m teaching yoga in the morning I try & fit meditation into the hour break I have between classes. If this isn’t possible I wait till I get home at lunch- time. This is great also to re-balance & relax me especially if it’s been a high-energy morning.
I love Friday’s, who doesn’t it. Even though my new life doesn’t fit the usual Monday to Friday mould anymore I still enjoy ‘the end of the week’ Friday feeling. Every second Friday is now my full day off, no teaching & I try to keep it free from healing sessions too. The other Friday in between I only teach one class at 6pm. Nice to have the whole day to do my desk related jobs.
Last Friday I woke up late for me, naturally at 8:30am. I must have needed the sleep & if I don’t need to set an alarm I won’t. I try to avoid technology if I can when I first get up or it’s too easy to get sucked into emails, social media or general ‘dicking around’ online. 😉 A nice cup of Yorkshire tea is in order though first whilst I go over my to do list. Then it’s time to meditate.
Friday’s guided meditation was calling to me as soon as I woke up. Usually I sit for a while & scan my meditations to see which one springs out at me. I already knew that Money & Wealth Manifesting by Elizabeth Peru was the one I needed on Friday.
It’s a very practical meditation that invites you to take notes if anything comes up for you. I know this seems strange at first, as isn’t meditation all about stillness, letting go & not thinking? There is a big difference between the thinking monkey mind rambling on & listening to the voice of your Soul.Meditation takes on many forms. This meditation is very ‘active’ & hands on. Inside every bodies heart centre (energetically speaking) there is a huge library of knowledge from many lifetimes to tap into. Mediation is the bridge to access this knowing. It takes practice but through consistent meditation you’ll get to discern the difference between the voices in your head.
Through my daily meditation I connect deeply with my Soul who knows 100% what is best for me. Throughout the Money & Wealth Manifesting journey ideas were literally pouring in on how I can create new business opportunities. My Soul was flooding me with hot new creative solutions to take my business to the next level. I chose to be still & let the process unfold, as I trust I will remember what I need to take away with me. If you’re new to this for sure take notes. As soon as I finished I was off, pen in hand recording everything that had come through.
I did step away for twenty minutes or so. Took a shower, did some more cleansing rituals & then came back to my note-book. It’s good to give new ideas some space to breathe. If you pounce on something too quickly you can literally strangle the life out of it. Stepping back & then reviewing from afar I could really feel which ideas I should set rolling first.

Have a sensational day, love K xx
It’s been exactly one year ago to this date I started my journey that has lead me to be where & whom I am today. It’s been one year since I started the 12 week Advanced Mentoring Program with Elizabeth Peru. This course of study I can not praise enough as it really did change my life. Read this post for more details.
A year on I can not believe how much I have changed for the better. My brief for the program was met beyond my expectations. (I’ll talk more about that in tomorrow’s post) I have discovered why I am here & what my life purpose is. Everybody is so different. I can not guarantee you the same success I achieved by working with Elizabeth. I can say if you put in the effort & truly want to embrace a change in your life in the right direction lead by your Soul you may get the results you are aiming for.
It’s not just twelve weeks, finish it and then stop. The Advanced Mentoring sets you up with life skills you can live every day for the rest of your life. The course material is there for you any time you need it. I was referring to it just the other day. As we grow & expand things will take on a different meaning. Reading back my notes I could see how far I have come and how much ‘I get it now.’
I am so grateful for Elizabeth’s guidance & support over the past year. Despite completing the full Merit Mastery program now I know this is not the end of the relationship. I am out there on my own, I actually always have been as it’s me doing the work for myself. I have gained the skills to figure things out for myself more quickly and with less need for reassurance from others. I can see though as I develop further on my path I may well still need to check in from time to time for some clarity from my mentor. We never stop learning. Even if my sessions become more of a chat to share what I’m up to from a feedback for the program point of view then that’s how it shall be.
I wish all the July 29th new mentees well on their new journey. Enjoy the ride, I loved it!
Those of you that follow this blog regularly will have heard me mention my Soul Mentor Elizabeth Peru. Why do I need or use a Soul Mentor you may well ask. About twelve months ago I was in a bit of a fix with the direction my life was going. I was working two jobs that combined involved working very long days, often rising at 4am some days then not getting home till 10pm on others. All this whilst trying to fit in other activities, running a home & being in a committed relationship. I was knackered!
The simple solution would be to cut back on something, work fewer hours or teach less yoga. The problem is I loved everything I was doing I was just not balancing them equally. Growing up I was always being told ‘you can’t do everything.’ Why not I would think, I can do everything just you watch me. This stemmed my desire to do everything I wanted and do it well. That was my stubborn, ego head leading the way. I needed assistance to get that under control & find balance in my life. A friend recommended me to Elizabeth’s services and it all rolled on from there to the point I am at right now.
In July last year I enrolled after a pre-intake Skype meeting in The Advanced Mentoring Program the first part of the Merit Mastery Program. On the program I worked one on one with Elizabeth to bring some balance & order back into my life. The key focus of the Advanced Mentoring is to really get to know your self on a Soul level. In order to do this you need to get your personality/head under control and working as a team with you heart/Soul.
Over the 12-week program of nine personal one-hour sessions and video classes you really get to grips with finding out who you really are. You will uncover where your natural talents lie, how to use them & bring a huge awareness into your every day life.
It’s not easy. Elizabeth will not hand you all the answers on a plate. If you want results you have to work hard. It is a process but a truly rewarding one & you are fully supported on your journey by Elizabeth. Any questions I had or challenges I didn’t understand were explained clearly to me in a straight forward no nonsense manner.
Through the lessons I learned on Advanced Mentoring & now Master Mentoring I’ve brought balance, peace and love into my busy life. I am flowing smoothly through life with my Soul as my one true guide whom I trust without question. I now over come challenges with ease and grace. I’m living in the present moment and trusting everything is happening for the right reason. I’m living authentically and using my natural given talents every day from which I am reaping all sorts of rewards. I could not recommend Elizabeth’s work for those ready to take the next step to finding their spiritual truth.
If you are ready to take the next step in your life, find out who you really are & make a change for the better this program may well be for you. The good news is the final program for 2013 is starting on July 29. It is offered globally to anyone over eighteen years old. Please be prepared to commit fully to the twelve-week program both personally & financially. It is a commitment but you will know if it resonates with you enough to take part. Be aware it is a professional service so it does come at a cost. For the full program outline & video link please click here. For further information & current pricing please email Elizabeth directly at: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you’re not ready for such an in depth course of study Elizabeth offers other services too check out this page. There are also daily complimentary Soul guidance posts on Elizabeth’s Facebook page & Twitter.

Do you ever feel that your home isn’t as settled and calming as you’d like it to be? Houses can get unbalanced if, just like your own body, there are trapped and negative emotions hanging around. We are all made up of energy and this is easily passed on and deposited into the environments in which we dwell. Just because you can’t ‘physically’ see energy dashing around doesn’t mean it’s not there. Our bodies are the physical manifestation of energy and they are very much tangible. If you are very sensitive to energy exchanges (you might not even realise you are) an unbalanced environment may really affect you. You can absorb this negativity that will in turn make you feel unsettled.
It’s a good idea to energy cleanse your home or office every few weeks. Especially if you have had guests enter your domain or a tricky client to deal with. They could have left you some emotional baggage of their own behind. Cleansing will help bring harmony back to your space and get rid of any negative energies or bad vibes. Leaving a lovely serene, calm environment for you to dwell in.
I cleanse my home often in a number of ways. Burning white sage incense is a cheap and effective way of balancing impurities. Sage burning is an ancient ritual of many religions. You can easily grow your own sage in your herb garden to burn if you don’t like using incense. I light a few sticks around my home, particularly in rooms that feel unbalanced. If I am preparing for a Reiki session sage is a must to cleanse my healing room from any energy I have brought in or from previous clients. As I light the sticks I say an affirmation that the sage clean and cleanse the room back to balance.
Smudging is a ritual that takes me longer to perform, it cleanses more deeply than just straight incense. I use a native Australian smudge stick made of lemon myrtle leaves and Australian paper bark. It is infused with 100% pure lemon myrtle essential oil that leaves a lovely refreshing, uplifting scent. Before I start I make sure the area is quiet and I am centred by taking a few long slow deep breathes. Again I will set the intention of clearing and cleansing the room from any negative energy or unwanted spirits. I light the sick, letting it burn for a few seconds before blowing it out. With the stick smouldering I circle the smoke in anti-clockwise (same direction as the energy flow of the Southern Hemisphere, go clockwise if your Northern) though the air in spiralling movements. Around doors and windows I direct the smoke well into the corners to make sure whole perimeter is cleansed. Especially important around doors guests have entered and exited.
My last technique is again quick, very effective, portable and does not require naked flames. It’s also one of my favourites as it smells so nice. I use Nemesis Clearing Mist a hand-blended spray by Elizabeth Peru of Deltawaves. It is made up of three essential oils – Angelica, celery & patchouli. I use it in any situation that I feel dense energy hanging around. A quick spritz is all that is needed. If I personally feel like I need some clearing or added protection I spray some over my shoulders. I’ve had my spray for nearly 8 months and there’s so much left. It does go a long way as only one or two sprays are needed.
Recently I took my Nemesis spray with me to the opening of a new yoga studio. Being freshly fitted out there had been a lot of energies through the door and I felt a pull to get in there to cleanse the yoga room before the first class. It worked a treat & created a relaxing, calm environment for the students enjoy. Even an intuitive friend commented on the energy flow in the room. When I told her I’d been in there to cleanse she said she felt like the space had has some extra help. Wonderful!
Follow your intuition, if your environment just does not feel right give it a cleanse and see how you feel afterwards.
Love & light,

It’s Autumn Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. Perfect time as we reach this change of season to talk about balance. The word balance appears a lot in our every day lives. Eat a balanced diet, stay balanced, balance your life, balance the books, it’s a balancing act! In our physical lives we are living in forward motion, dictated by time. There is a lot going on all at once for most of us. This can cause imbalance. Our human body is naturally unbalanced as it is divided from the spiritual or invisible part of us, our Soul, whilst we are in human existence.
Imagine an old fashioned weighing scale with a centre point and two arms on either side. What happens when you add too much weight to one side? That side shoots up, the other down & imbalance occurs. What do you do? Add weight to the counter side or take a little weight off so the scale ‘balances’ or comes back to centre. Just like the scales our lives & our bodies have to come back to centre in order to balance. When our physical and spiritual forms are together as one we are balanced. How do we achieve this balance? We need to stop moving and connect within.
The inspiration for this post was sparked by a question posed to me last week. I was asked if I’d given up my day job that requires me to work a 40-hour week on a nine to five schedule. No I replied I still work full time, as I love what I do. Why would someone ask me if I’d given up my job in the first place? Let me enlighten you. It is not my only job. I also teach Bikram yoga part time as well as undertaking regular freelance design work, my daily commute can take up to a 1.5 hours (one way), I write this blog, practice Reiki healing, oil paint, pole dance, do yoga amongst other hobbies all whilst maintaining a house and relationship. How can you do all this I hear your scream. BALANCE!
It hasn’t always been so easy for me. About ten months ago I was running myself into the ground. I had all the above jobs and activities going on in my life but there was no balance. I was stuck and desperately needed some guidance. I was recommended by a friend to contact a Soul Mentor with whom I had a personal email session. This first session lead me onto the journey I am currently travelling. With direction from my Mentor I have learned to follow my inner guide, we all have one, here’s that word again our Soul, thus creating the much needed balance in my life.
To onlookers my life might still seem crazy busy. To me it flows without effort or strain. It does not at all seem busy because I am leading from my Soul base. All my jobs and activities are aligned with my life purpose. I eliminated the parts of my life that were causing me strain and discomfort. I took control, owned my own worth and most importantly focused on what I love in life. When you live authentically life is simple and easy. Just like nature it becomes natural, the way it’s meant to be, nothing forced or burdensome.
Have you noticed when you’re running round like a headless chicken, trying to please everyone, be everything to everybody time just flies and there never seems to be enough hours in the day? You feel stressed and grumpy and pretty much not happy. It doesn’t have to be this way! If I can squeeze all the above into my life you can too.
How do I do it? I simply slow down and come back to stillness. I stop what I’m doing. Take time out to close my eyes, be still and breathe. This is how to get in touch with yourself, the real Self, inside your core. When you become still at your centre point the scales balance, both sides are equal, that is where all your answers lie and time will stand still for you. Quite the mind, focus on the point that lies in the pause between your thoughts, between your breath. This is stillness. I tell my yoga students this all the time in savasana posture but it’s a skill you can apply any time of the day.
Anyone can live authentically you just need to take action for yourself. No one but you can control your life you need to be the instigator. When you allocate time to something you really love, time opens up for you, slows down for you to give you the time to do something that will nourish you on all levels. It really does, you just need to desire it without doubt. It’s happening to me right now. I was so pumped up with inspiration to write this post, I truly desired to have the time to write. Guess what, my workload dried up, literally nothing to do, allowing me the time to write unhindered.
Allocate time to do something you love and see what happens. Just like I talked about in the post ‘Treat Yourself.’ Put in the effort and reap the benefits, you will be rewarded, it may not be obvious at first but soon it will be. All you need to do is find that stillness and balance will follow.

Travel is a huge part of who I am. I need to travel often or else I get stale and lack inspiration. I love going to new places, new countries, and meeting people from different places and experiencing what is out there beyond my back yard. I didn’t start my travel adventures outside of my home country or Europe till I was twenty-two. Then there was no stopping me!
I have been fortunate to have friends and a partner who also share my passion for travel. However sometimes no one is available due to annual leave, money & not actually wanting to go where I do. Instead of giving up on my dream I go by myself.
It is scary and some people find it too terrifying to travel solo, especially if you’re female. It doesn’t have to be. With a bit of planning and research it can take the fear out of travelling alone. There are numerous global tour agencies that now specialise in solo travel for all ages. You’re never really ‘alone,’ unless you want to be!
The Internet has made planning so simple. Google map’s can zoom in with a satellite image so you can get a good look at a place without actually being there. There are reviews, tips, pictures, itineraries and tour groups all waiting for you to discover them.
I’ve done plenty of solo travel over the years. The first time I jumped on a plane by myself was exhilarating and liberating. I was only going 50 minutes from London to Edinburgh. All the way I was thinking “look at me on a plane by MYSELF!” Four years later I was on a 24-hour flight to Australia alone, turning up in Sydney with my backpack thinking “now what?!”
My last solo trip was a few weeks ago. There was a yoga seminar in Melbourne being hosted by Bikram’s wife Rajashree. I really wanted to go and instead of hunting around for a travel buddy I booked myself a flight, a room in the hotel where the seminar was being held and went alone. Too easy. I then decided to combine it with a trip to Adelaide on the way back for a personal session with my Soul Mentor. Four days dedicated to doing something just for me, without worrying about accommodating anyone else. How good does that sound?
We spend too much time looking after other people and working around them to make things easy. This leads to your own needs being over looked or we miss out on doing things we truly want to do. It is NOT selfish at all to nourish yourself with some alone time. It is good for us. We serve others better when we have served ourselves first. If no one else wants to join you on your adventure, go by yourself.
I did my research before leaving. I had to negotiate transport from the airport to the city via bus, tram and a walk. It was all there on the Internet and I could book my bus ticket online. It had been eight years since I’d been to Melbourne and last time I drove there. I’ had a rough idea of the city but couldn’t really remember it. I booked my flights so I’d arrive well before dark as I didn’t want to be alone in a strange city at night. I knew if there were no nearby restaurants I could always eat in the hotel. If you don’t feel comfortable sitting alone in a restaurant, order to go or there’s always room service. Often when eating alone you attract other people who ask you to join them. If that’s creepy to you, simply decline & read a book.
On arriving in Adelaide I’d booked myself into a ‘treat’ hotel. The Stamford Grand in Glenelg is right on the beachfront in a cosmopolitan small suburb. A taxi from the airport was safe and easy. They have a concierge service that puts you in properly licensed cars. I Googled ahead and had a rough estimate of how much it would cost so they’d be no surprises.
I had a fab time! Walking on the beach before sunset, eating fresh organic pizza and soaking in a long, hot bubble bath. Finally curling up for an early night with Dirty Dancing on TV and my favourite sparkling water (yes water!). I was so relaxed I woke up hours before my alarm for a really long morning walk along the sea front, followed by another bubble bath. I got the hotel to sort me out a taxi and called into Bakers Delight for a fresh Cheesimite scroll for breakfast. (Solo travel does not need to be expensive) All this topped off with an amazing energy healing before jumping on my third and final flight home.
I only took hand luggage with me. Simple, light and no waiting at carousels. All my check in’s were done on my smart phone. No faffing around with paper boarding passes or check in lines. I just had to make sure I had enough battery by the time I got to the gate. Watch out that free Wi-Fi sucks the battery life.
At no time did I feel scared or unsafe. Everything was planned transport wise. I’d researched a few places to eat but this can always change, which it did. Once you get somewhere & have a look around you discover so much more. That’s part of the excitement. It was a treat to just curl up and watch movies that are always available on free view in most hotels. I really embraced having time for me without any distractions. I got so much writing & reading done. I came home so chilled and ready to get things started with this blog it was just what I needed.
Don’t be scared, if there’s somewhere you want to go, something only you want to do go do it!!! Why wait.
Happy travels & safe,
