Can you believe it’s four days into March already? Where has time gone?!
At the end of/start of the year we all get on board with setting intentions or New Year’s Resolutions. I feel a few months into the year our focus might have waned slightly & those intentions might have been forgotten. To assist us all (myself included!) to get back or stay on track I’ve created a NEW FREE worksheet.
Here’s what I have come up with a ‘Monthly Intentions worksheet.’ A few simple questions to plan out your month & what you’d like to achieve. Then we dig a little deeper to get you really connecting within. Complete a new sheet every month. Stick it up somewhere you will see it regularly to stay focused & above all have fun with it. It can’t be all work & no play!
At the end of the month review & reflect on you’re progress. If you’ve haven’t achieved everything, no stress. Use it as a learning curve & roll on your intention to the next month. Don’t forget to congratulate & give yourself a nice reward (doesn’t have to be lavish, an extended sit down on the couch or a bottle of Kombucha!) for any achievements, no matter how small. Always good to have something nice to work towards as well as just plain ol’ personal development.
I hope you enjoy the process as much as I have creating this for you!

Seren Monthly Intentions
This year had been incredible already. I feel I have achieved so much in such a short time & it’s only the end of February. One of my biggest achievements so far has been taking the leap of faith & hosting my first workshop.
Workshops are something I love to attend myself. A whole day or weekend to submerge myself in a subject I’m interested in. Learning new things & meeting like minded people. That is the reason I decided I’d like to run my own. When you’re super passionate about something it’s natural you wish to share it with others.
Of course there was resistance, fear & self-doubt that got in the way for a while. ‘What subject should I present? Will people sign up? Am I qualified? It might die on it’s ass?’ The usual! Once I got out of my own way, found my subject matter & committed to a date everything fell into place.
On February 16th & 23rd I hosted a two-day workshop as an Introduction into the Chakras. Chakras are super interesting & are the main basis for my Reiki energy healing work as well as in yoga. Putting together a workshop on this subject came really naturally. To the point I felt I had too much information to share in the time I had.
Splitting the workshop into two days was something I was advised by my mentor. There is only so much information you can take in at one time. Especially when working with a highly energetic subject I know from my experience you can tire quite easily. It seemed logical to split the days into the lower & upper Chakra’s. Having a week in between sessions allowed the students to absorb & reflect on what they had learned. Then return a week later with much to share. Two days worked really well as everyone had different reactions & trying to squish all seven Chakras into one day would have been too much.
I’d put many hours work into planning the workshop. Designing my own workbooks pulled from everything I know. Writing my notes & gathering my tools together crystals, Chakra silks, alchemical oils & books. I didn’t want the workshop to be just me talking. It was more about feeling & self-healing. I wished to share the techniques I use for recognising & clearing blocked energy. Being a yoga teacher of course I brought in asanas specific to each Chakra too. The preparation took a long time but it was so worth it. When I run it again, all I need to do is hit ‘print’ & I’m ready to go.
My decision to host the workshop at home was a highlight hit with the attendees. We were blessed with two sunny, warm days that did get quite wild & windy at certain points! Being outside in nature surrounded by trees & wide-open space was very healing for everyone. The vibe was very much relaxed, content & happy. Stepping away from city suburban life to be in the country for a few hours can work wonders on the Soul.
The morning of the second day I was drawn to pull three Angel Therapy Cards (as posted on FB yesterday) to ask for any guidance I needed for the day. Three very strong cards presented.
1. You are a powerful Lightworker
3. Power Animal
All three resonated greatly & left a smile on my face. Confirmation everything was working out just as it should be.
The ladies that attended were brilliant. Huge gratitude & thanks to them for being a part of my first presenting gig. Everyone was so open & shared their experiences freely. It didn’t feel like work for me, everything flowed & felt really natural. Masses of healing occurred on all levels. Rounding off both days with guided meditation & a sound healing was perfect.
Each attendee received a surprise gift bag with a collection of goodies. A Chakra coloured glass tea light holder with a hand poured Frankincense & Myrrh soy candle, a rose quartz crystal, incense sticks, self-love cards from Scared Self Alchemical oils & a selection of information from beautiful holistic services I personally use & support.
Overall the workshop as a whole was very well received. All my self-doubt was very unnecessary but part of the process. Looking back now I should have been doing this sooner! (easy to say that now)
Here’s some feedback from the workshop:
“Day 1 with the vivacious Kathryn… opening up, connecting, peeling back layers and healing with the magical winds stirring our souls… beautiful day.”
“A beautiful day xxx Time to care for my “self” & allow the healing to continue…….gorgeous.”
“Two Sundays in a row for GREAT Chakra Workshop… It is amazing to deepen the knowledge of Mind Body Spirit connection… it was also awesome to learn how our chakras can open with YOGA postures…. Bikram yoga postures for most of the chakras. Thanks to Kat, Seren Holistic Lifestyles.”
Time to start planning the next event.
