Sunday saw that I had a full day off from teaching yoga & from healing sessions. Of course there is always other work to be done. Like writing blog posts!
My intention for the day was to be ‘organic.’ There were a few things on my weekend to do list to be done before Monday. Important things like yoga invoices & availability for April needed sending out. I had my business coaching actions to complete for the fortnight too. The rest of the day would flow without me pushing or stressing.
The day started like most days do with a meditation. I signed up for The Wellness Project’s 21-day meditation program to add some new flavour to my sessions. Sunday’s track was a sixteen-minute mini Chakra balancing. The shortness of the meditation spurred me to invite my partner to join me in my healing room to listen too. I think we have meditated twice together in the past & it’s something he is open to but never does. It’s nice to share such activities & he happily joined in.
Green juice & a breakfast of organic Greek yoghurt & berries followed. All washed down with a pot of Yorkshire Tea.
Once my admin essentials were out the way I surrendered to my heart. Throughout the morning my Third Eye Chakra was buzzing like mad. This usually happens for two reasons:
- Someone I know is thinking about me.
- I’m about to have a creative Soul moment.
I felt both were going on as I received some online correspondence & I was tearing through my notebook scribbling down ideas.
A friend in NZ had had her second baby well over a week ago & I hadn’t had time to get online to find a gift. I didn’t want to rush & send something quickly without any thought. Sunday allowed me the time to really get involved & pick out a few very quirky gifts. Shopping & giving brings so much joy it was nice to really dedicate the time the activity deserved.
The day progressed with ease & slowness. Nothing was a chore or an effort. At lunch I took a break to eat & read. Currently I’m working my way through Claire Richards autobiography. I find real life stories fascinating. Through out the book there were loads of references to Claire’s time in the British pop group Steps. Being a Sunday & having loads of time I started to Google. I must have worked my way through at least an hour or two of music videos & interviews. Bringing back happy memories from my teenage years. I remember in 1998 my first year of university a girl in my halls knowing all the dance moves to ‘5,6,7,8.’
Last Monday I started an online blog course ‘Bright-Eyed & Blogged-Hearted’ with the ever-inspiring Rachel from In Spaces Between. I’ve been doing the course work in small sections all week. On Sunday I decided I’d like to finish it all up before Module 2 started the next day. I didn’t put the usual pressure on myself to get it done. I dipped in & out at my leisure. Most importantly I just enjoyed the whole process letting what I’d written sit for a few hours before returning to edit it.
Our BE & BH private FB group is electric. Over 300 like minded bloggers sharing, caring & supporting each other. I happily dipped in & out of convo’s with the ‘gals.’ Giving feedback on newly written or revamped ‘about me’ pages & vision boards.
One blog task took a lot of time. Trying to figure out how to get an ‘opt-in’ box for my newsletter in WordPress.com. The other WordPress (.org) has fancy plugin’s to do this. I watched the You Tube tutorials & scanned the help pages. Mail Chimp wrote me some code but it just wasn’t working. I have a ‘mend & make do’ option now in the side bar. I ignored the mundane tasks that needed attention. Like the laundry, cleaning & vacuuming. These tasks could wait till I’m tired & not creatively juiced up. What a waste to be rolling in the creative zone & be tied to the kitchen sink!
I really loved Sunday. By the time 5pm rolled around I was happy, enriched, inspired & content with my achievements for the day. A whole day of just flowing, doing things for love & joy instead of obligation.

Who am I?
For those of you who are new here my name is Kathryn (aka Kat) I am a Reiki Master & intuitive energy healer.
What does that mean?
As a Reiki Master I have dedicated my life to a path of well being & spiritual development. Working from a place of love by connecting & living my life lead by my Souls guidance.
Using my intuition or ‘inner knowing’ I connect with the invisible energy of the universe & spirit guides to assist people to heal. The guidance I receive comes through in different forms, either through clairaudience, clairvoyance or clairsentience.
This journey has seen me follow my passion for teaching to a spiritual level through yoga & Reiki. As a Reiki Master I am able to pass the gift of Reiki onto others through the sacred ceremony known as the Reiki attunement. I can teach you how to safely connect & use the Reiki energy to heal yourself & others.
What is Reiki healing?
Reiki translates in Japanese as “universal life force energy.” Reiki guides the healing energy through the placement of hands either directly onto the body or held above. Reiki can assist the release of energetic blockages; break down habitual patterns & balances the Chakras. This holistic modality supports the bodies’ natural ability to heal. In order to move on & grow we must heal what we have held onto in the past. Reiki is a gentle, safe & non-intrusive method to assist this process.
The Reiki Level 1 workshop involves:
- Learning the Reiki hand placements on & around the client’s body.
- You receive the Level I attunements.
- Become aware of your own intuition & inner voice.
- You will learn how energy affects the physical, mental, emotional & spiritual bodies.
- Reiki Level I can be used on family, animals, plants & for self-healing.
Reiki Level 1 is a full weekend workshop consisting of fourteen hours in total split over two consecutive days. Learning Reiki is a rewarding & self-nurturing process. You will open the connection to your Soul as well as the universal energy.
There are many Reiki courses out there how is yours different?
It is recommended that you receive your Reiki attunement from a qualified Reiki Level III Master – this is me. I am passionate & dedicated to my life purpose of serving the greater good of humanity.
Being a Master is more than a title I live my life every day to that of mastery. I receive Reiki & other healing regularly, I meditate daily, exercise & keep my physical body healthy through good plant based nutrition. I work with my spiritual mentors every month. I take part in self-development programs to constantly keep growing & moving myself forward. What I learn I pass on to others. Through teaching I am always learning.
My courses are detailed & structured based on the way I learned Reiki from my Master mentor. I tailor the course to each individual depending on their levels of consciousness. The energy of the day will lead us where we need to go. I share my own experience & challenges of my personal healing journey with you.
Courses are kept small with a maximum four students so everybody gets one on one attention whilst still benefiting from a group experience. Hosting the course at my private residence in a rural location offers added healing benefits as well as a more relaxed atmosphere.
How do I know if I’m ready to learn Reiki?
If this post has sparked an interest & you feel an urge to learn more then you are ready. Self-doubt can kick in for sure; use this as the positive resistance that you are moving forward in the right direction. Everybody has the ability to learn to heal; just some are called to it more strongly.
I recommend that you have received a Reiki session prior to taking the course. That way you can ‘feel’ how Reiki works & understand what is involved during a session. It would be hard to learn something that you have never experienced yourself.

Can you believe it’s four days into March already? Where has time gone?!
At the end of/start of the year we all get on board with setting intentions or New Year’s Resolutions. I feel a few months into the year our focus might have waned slightly & those intentions might have been forgotten. To assist us all (myself included!) to get back or stay on track I’ve created a NEW FREE worksheet.
Here’s what I have come up with a ‘Monthly Intentions worksheet.’ A few simple questions to plan out your month & what you’d like to achieve. Then we dig a little deeper to get you really connecting within. Complete a new sheet every month. Stick it up somewhere you will see it regularly to stay focused & above all have fun with it. It can’t be all work & no play!
At the end of the month review & reflect on you’re progress. If you’ve haven’t achieved everything, no stress. Use it as a learning curve & roll on your intention to the next month. Don’t forget to congratulate & give yourself a nice reward (doesn’t have to be lavish, an extended sit down on the couch or a bottle of Kombucha!) for any achievements, no matter how small. Always good to have something nice to work towards as well as just plain ol’ personal development.
